In order to achieve the project, the following general objectives must be reached:
- The development of an innovative advanced technological solution for manufacturing accurate/ precise displacement actuators with constructive simplicity
- The development of materials with high value added by cumulating structural volume grain super-refinement with thermomechanical training
- Increasing competitiveness and creativity by the simulation of conceptual technical thinking and by instructing and recruiting young researchers in modeling and applicative research
- The development of new products and production processes based on integrating solutions that combine severe plastic deformation with thermomechanical treatment
- The increase of technological competencies by enhancing rapid assimilation of research results into industrial practice
Reaching the above general objectives, while carrying out the project, requires the punctual fulfillment of the scientific and technical objectives (listed in Table 1) which, in their turn, must overcome pre-existing scientific and technical barriers, respectively.
